One novel approach hypothesizes that brain targeted Tregs will effectively alter a diseased neuroenvironment to one promoting dopaminergic neuron protection and regeneration. The goal is to demonstrate brain targeting of T-regs by a non-invasive intranasal route and to evaluate the behavioral, histopathological and neurobiochemical beneficial effects of the approach in PD animal models.
